What this website collects, why, and who handles it for us.

Murfin Group runs murfin.au. We collect only what we need to reply to you, send what you asked for and understand which companies are interested in our work. We don't sell personal information.

What you give us

When you use a form, the Marketing Pen Test, the Sticky idea score, the Destination Advisor or the booking calendar, we collect what you enter: usually your name, work email, company and role, and sometimes your mobile number and website. We also keep your answers, your score, what you type into the Destination Advisor and the report it writes for you.

What is collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records technical details when you visit: your IP address, browser, device and the pages you view. Apollo.io's visitor tracking script uses cookies and your IP address to tell us which companies visit the site and which pages they read. It can sometimes match a visit to a person in Apollo's own business contact database. The site also remembers the goal you pick in your browser's session storage until you close the tab.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, send your report, articles or media alerts you signed up for, arrange meetings, and follow up about work we can do together. We use visit information to see which companies are interested and to improve the site. You can unsubscribe from any email we send, or ask us to stop contacting you.

Who handles it for us

We use these services to run the site. Each handles personal information under its own privacy terms, and most store it outside Australia, mainly in the United States.

Apollo.io keeps our contact records and runs the visitor tracking. Anthropic's Claude AI writes the Destination Advisor's replies and reports, so what you type there is sent to Anthropic to produce a response. Cloudflare hosts the site and protects it from attacks, including with Turnstile, an invisible check that confirms a form was sent by a person and not a script; it uses browser and network signals under Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy. Google Workspace runs our email and calendar. Google Analytics measures how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location and device), using cookies set by Google. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with pages, including heatmaps and replays of individual visits (with typed text masked), using cookies set by Microsoft. TidyCal runs our booking page. Google Fonts and jsDelivr deliver the site's fonts and code libraries, which means your browser contacts them directly.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email tom@murfin.au and we'll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you're concerned about how we've handled your information, email tom@murfin.au first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
