Organisations can now build their own websites without a developer, says Murfin Group

Melbourne firm launches a service that puts Claude Code in the hands of in-house teams

MELBOURNE, 3 November 2026 – Melbourne strategy and storytelling firm Murfin Group has launched a service that lets organisations build, run and change their own websites with Claude Code, Anthropic’s AI coding tool, instead of paying a web developer and a hosting agency.

A team describes the site it wants in plain language: who it is for, what it must do and how it should feel. Claude Code writes the site, which can include email, a database or a content management system, and deploys it on Cloudflare or Webflow. The organisation’s brand, tone and look are written into the setup as skills, so every new page stays on brand. Once the site is handed over, staff can describe a new campaign or event page and publish it the same day.

‘I’ve worked inside corporations and government departments, and every one of them had a website developer and a website host,’ Murfin Group co-founder Tom Finnigan said. ‘That model has changed. If a human can code it today, you can direct Claude to build the same thing, and your own team can run it.’

Murfin says the code for each site is held to the same review standard as a human build. Clients can build the site themselves with Murfin coaching them from first prompt to launch, or have Murfin build it and hand over a workflow their team can run without a developer.

Mr Finnigan said the change would hit web agencies and small businesses first, and that the bigger shift was in how people work.

‘AI has collapsed the barrier, but it hasn’t replaced taste,’ he said. ‘Anyone with access to one of the leading AI models can now direct several streams of work at once, the way a manager or a director would. Give it outstanding direction and context, and it does most of the work. What it can’t do is judge whether the result looks, sounds and feels right. That’s still a human skill, and it’s the difference between a brand and AI slop.’

He said the risk sat in the final step.

‘The most important step is the human review at the end,’ Mr Finnigan said. ‘When AI content looks polished, confirmation bias and availability bias kick in, and people hit send without reading it properly. The safeguard is to train yourself to be the editor. Once you can do that, you can direct several AI agents doing several jobs every day.’

Organisations can request a one-page website path, returned within one business day, at murfin.au/launch-a-new-website.
